I was going to wait until the one year anniversary of my blog in November to register a domain for it but we had to register a domain for our team's website so it looks a little more professional when we hand out letters to potential sponsors. Retail Me Not had a coupon for .com domains at 7.66 which is the best deal I've seen them give for a domain name through Godaddy. I doubt anyone would have taken the domain I was considering but it had crossed my mind.
I've been wanting to change the domain www.memoirsofapremed.com for a while now and I'm happy I finally went for it. Over the past week, I've learned a lot about mapping domains to these blog sites. Thankfully, I'm on popular blog software and there are useful tutorials and integration set-ups or it seems like this would have been at least twice as hard. I found a help article on GoDaddy called Mapping Your Domain to Work with a Blogger Blog that made integrating my domain name to my blog a walk in the park.
This domain name makes my blog much more professional and I hope all my readers can understand and take a few moments to update any link referrals they have along with bookmarks. I know things like these can be a pain and I do appreciate your understanding.
